The San Marcos Highlands project is located north of Santa Fe Hills at the north end of Las Posas Road and consists of 186 single-family lots, two mini-parks, public trials, and one public park. The project also includes the extension of Las Posas Road and permanent open space.
Our Services
Excel Engineering provided land planning, civil engineering and surveying services, which included an extension of Las Posas Road and over 124 acres to be left as open space. The team worked with the original landowner to obtain the projects entitlements that were complicated and complex due to environmental requirements and regulations.
Excel Engineering also provided the construction documents for the public streets, utilities, and site grading for KB Home Costal.
The projects required coordination with multiple agencies: San Diego County Water Authority, Vista Irrigation District, Vallecitios Water District, Fish and Game, Vista School District, San Marcos School District, the City of San Marcos, and LAFCO.
Project construction started in December 2020 and Excel Engineering is providing the construction staking services.
